I could make you believe anything,
take you to the edge of everything,
and bring the world to its collective knees for you,
if only you'd let me,
if only you'd allow yourself the acknowledgement
of forever.
My immortal soul is standing on the crest of the known universe
looking down on these galaxies,
hurtling away from them at unknown velocities,
concentrating on your emancipation,
your heartbreak,
your feint.
Celestial winds whisper words unworthy of the
hand that held the help,
the face that belied the mercy of all of them,
so high above the ground,
"You don't believe in me."
The air was like a cut,
and the sun was just another star,
as time floated away,
and boomeranged back to me
at unprecedented speeds
and the blur
is all I can see anymore.

it sounds very sad. it'd make for a really cool scene in an anime or short film though (don't know how one would do that in a short film though).
ReplyDeleteso who's it about? i have three ideas right now: either a person whose name i won't mention (there are parts that make it seem to thoughtful to be about him though), you speaking to yourself, or some third person who i've never met/know nothing about.
am i close? is it any of those three?
btw, how come i always comment on your blogs, but you never comment on mine anymore.. nor do you reply to my comments on yours. it's not like we talk in between so the things written about have been spoken already. *gasp* oh, you poor thing, you must be too busy. k ^^ i'll leave it alone.
oh, btw, how did you get your comment thing to be like this? it's really cool.
ReplyDeleteI think it refers to a collective "you," an outside assesment, of sorts. So yes, you're very much off the mark. I've moved on, and I will not be going back.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't remeber how I made things look like this. I just clicked some buttons...:-(
:) i'm happy to be off the mark. you don't want it to look like this? i believe i know how to change it (or atleast can try figuring it out in the html).
ReplyDeletecorrection: i sent you an email not to long ago, so the last thing you said could've made sense in reply to it too, but you wrote this before the email, so ignore what i said. :P
ReplyDeleteIt's really nice. Also "take you to the edge of everything" reminisces of "bring me to the edge of everything" in "strings on your guitar." is that a common expression we both used or that we made up the same thing?
ReplyDeleteThat it does. I think the phrase has become common between us.
ReplyDeletei like how this is your "about me" on your blog profile. also, i like your unique question thing. i feel like i should try peeling an apple like that sometime.
